- No real training or systems to plug into
David drove from Louisiana to Fort Lauderdale just to get a half-day of training, then returned home to knock on doors with outdated leads. His first sale came from a lead that was 5 years old.
“I was knocking on doors and doing whatever it took. I didn’t know better, but I knew I wasn’t going to quit.”
Battling Financial Strain and Lack of Support
David burned through savings trying to make the system work. He drove four hours to work 20 leads. After the first batch, there were no new leads available. He was told to wait until he moved to Florida.
Even after moving, he faced continued struggles:

After taking a short break to do hurricane relief work (where he earned $30K in 3 weeks), David returned to his agency to find criticism and bullying from uplines who claimed he wasn’t committed.
But something clicked.
He decided not to let others define his success. Instead, he started building his own systems, hiring agents, and mentoring them the right way.
One of his first hires became the #1 agent in the company.

By his first anniversary in the business, David had:
